DANCE FOR LIFE is a project that brings together in Busteni, Romania 56 creative young people, from 7 countries: Italy, Slovenia, Poland, Turkey, Hungary, Croatia, Romania, to deepen and to promote the human rights and fundamental freedoms through Arts Workshops and activities: Dance, Film, Acting, Music, Multimedia. During the 15 days of activities, the participants will create a film to promote the human rights and to encourage the active citizenship and solidarity of young people through the arts, with dance moments and characters involved in limit situations. The participants, actors and writers, will find the best solutions for the characters to overcome the difficult situations planned in the screenplay. Also, the participants will perform a Flash Mob to promote the human rights, peace and tolerance, on September 24, 2016, in Brasov and will visit the Bran Caste “Dracula’s Castle” in Romania.
Profile of participants: – Participants with ages between 16 – 30 years. The group leader could have any age. – Medium level of English – Creative young people interested in arts, having or not having artistic experience, willing to express and to develop their artistic and media skills in different areas: making film, acting, music, dance, developing their social competences of active participation and interculturality. – Willing to realize a film, including dance moments, for promoting the human rights and fundamental freedoms, in an inter-cultural context. – Willing to better understand the human rights; to use the arts: dance, multimedia, film, music to transmit ideas and messages of peace and tolerance to other young people.
